HDES / Solidflow present at the Innovation Day for the Healthy and Wounded Soldier

On the 10th of April, the Innovation day for the healthy and wounded soldier was held at the Defence complex Ede-Driesprong. During the day, there were different lectures, demonstrations and a small exhibition with stands. The goal was to bring industry en medical personnel together to discuss  and feel how innovations could improve the efficiency, safety and output of their work. Trial by fire: Orga light survives T-Minus launch

Recently, a T-Minus sounding rocket was launched from a Dutch military site, nothing unusual one might say, but this time it was a special launch. The launch tower carried an obstruction light of Orga as a passenger experiment to see if these lights would be able to survive a launch. The results were very good, after launch the light was in excellent condition and could directly be re-used. Deputy Minister for Defence Christophe van der Maat visits the SBIC and HDES / Solidflow

On the 25th of January Christophe van der Maat, Deputy Minister for Defence of the Netherlands visited ESTEC, the Gallileo Reference Centre and the Space Business Incubation Center (SBIC). In the SBIC, HDES S&E was one of the companies that was invited to inform the Deputy Minister on their technologies and products. Solidflow wins in 2023 ESA Tech Transfer Competition

Solidflow BV, a spin-off of HDES Service & Engineering BV was awarded the third prize in the ESA Tech Transfer competition 2023 with its proposal for a Hydrogen Cool Gas Generator for emergency power supplies. The prize will be used to perform preliminary research into the technical and economical feasibility of such a Cool Gas Generator. Hydrogen cool gas generators, like all other Cool Gas Generators, are not pressurised and do not need any maintenance. Meet us and our MINOS Cool Gas generator in Bremen!

HDES will be present at the Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen from 14 to 16 November. We will bring our Minos generator and two new products with us, the 3 nl CO2 generator and the micro CO2 CGG, both of which are now in development. Commercial production and deliveries of HDES Cool Gas Generators have started

HDES Service & Engineering BV has started commercial offering and deliveries of the MINOS Cool Gas Generators. On 21 September, the first MINOS Cool Gas generators were shipped to our first customers in the Netherlands and Europe. These were Ground test Units of the First Production Batch of the Minos CGG’s and our first commercial products.  Our customers will use these CGG’s for ground testing and product evaluation. HDES starts Circular Cool Gas Generators study

HDES Service & Engineering BV has been awarded a MIT feasibility study from the Province of South Holland to start investigating the possibilities to make the Cool Gas Generators even more sustainable. HDES has already started with this by offering a re-fill service for its MINOS Cool Gas Generators and a refund when customers return their spent Cool Gas Generators. HDES Cool Gas Generator classified outside the pyrotechnic class

As part of the development of the MINOS CO2 Cool Gas Generator, the  generator had to be classified for a transportation class. HDES worked together with TNO to prepare and perform the required tests. Early March, the final test was carried out with two CGGs inside a specifically designed transport box. Based on the results of this test, on 14 March 2023, TNO formally classified the MINOS CGG outside the pyrotechnic class while inside the transport box. MINOS Project passes the Critical Design Review

On the 21ste of February, the Critical Design Review (CDR) of the MINOS Cool Gas Generator was held. In the MINOS project a 20 normal liter Carbon dioxide Cool Gas generator is being developed and qualified for use in space propulsion systems. In this project, under a SBIR contract of the Netherlands Space Office (NSO), HDES leads a team of Bradford Engineering and TNO to complete this development in a very short time of 13 months.
